Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect the minimum we need to run our products. We don't sell your personal information. We don't use your conversations or personal lists to train AI models. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. You can export or delete it at any time.
This Privacy Policy explains how HeyFig, Inc. ("HeyFig", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit heyfig.ai, sign up for our products (including Catalogue), or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Who we are
HeyFig, Inc. is a Delaware corporation building AI-based personal organization products. For privacy questions, you can reach us at privacy@heyfig.ai.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information. Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Content you create. Messages, lists, notes, reminders, and other content you choose to share with our products in order to receive a response or have it remembered for you.
- Communications. Information you send us when you contact support, request access to a beta, or respond to a survey.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. Aggregate, non-content telemetry such as the features you use, error logs, and performance metrics.
- Device and log data. IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location (city-level, derived from IP), and timestamps.

3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- To process the content you send us and generate AI responses.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, product updates, and support requests.
- To monitor and improve performance, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI processing and model training
To generate responses, parts of your content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers acting as our subprocessors (for example, large language model providers such as Amazon Web Services and other inference partners). We only use providers who contractually agree to:
- Process your content solely to return a response to us;
- Not retain your content beyond the period required to return that response, except where required by law; and
- Not use your content to train their foundation or general-purpose models.
HeyFig does not use the content you submit to our products to train general-purpose AI models. We may use de-identified, aggregated metrics (for example, "X% of messages contained a date") to improve our own product features.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers (subprocessors). Cloud hosting, AI inference, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, and payment processing partners who are bound by data-processing agreements.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HeyFig, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.
- With your consent. For any purpose not described in this policy, we will ask you first.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may delete content at any time from within the product. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards designed to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, restricted access controls, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact security@heyfig.ai.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten");
- Port your information to another service;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@heyfig.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30 days). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For California residents
You have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
HeyFig is the data controller for personal information collected through the Services. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to deliver the Services you request), legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve our products), legal obligations, and consent (for example, optional cookies).
9. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact privacy@heyfig.ai and we will promptly delete it.
10. International transfers
HeyFig is based in the United States, and our subprocessors may operate elsewhere. When we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the product before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the most recent version was published.
